FLIES-A-WAY™ contains chemical free ingredients that brings you the best of both worlds! Garlic, yeast, and apple cider vinegar to deter biting flies as well as diatomaceous earth to discourage insect breeding in manure. Also contains MSM to support a normal inflammatory response and healthy skin.

For best results, feed FLIES-A-WAY™ to ALL horses on your property, begin feeding 30-45 days prior to start of fly season.

Flies-A-Way

Apple Cider Vinegar is the fermented juice of crushed apples and has been used for many years to support the health of a variety of systems including the skin, digestive tract, immune system and more. Many horse owners value it as a natural insect control as it causes thiamine (vitamin B1) to be excreted through the skin, repelling flies and mosquitoes.

Brewer’s Yeast is a source of B complex vitamins, trace minerals and is believed to discourage biting insects by causing an offensive skin odor. Brewer’s yeast is also a common name for a specific strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae which supports healthy fiber digestion (feed efficiency) and supports a healthy immune response.

Diatomaceous Earth is a whitish powder made up of the fossilized remains of diatoms, a type of prehistoric, hard-shelled algae. Some owners feed diatomaceous earth to their horses to help control internal parasites and reduce fly loads, since the sharp edges are said to penetrate the outer covering of worms and insects, causing dehydration and death.

DL-Methionine is an amino acid that must be provided in the diet since the body cannot create enough of its own. This means if it is not present in adequate amounts it limits the body's ability to make protein. Methionine can be converted by the body into another sulfur-containing amino acid, cysteine. Because the concentration of both these amino acids is highest in hoof and hair, methionine is often included in hoof health supplements.

Garlic is one of the most widely used herbs in the world, dating back thousands of years and liked by horse owners to help deter biting insects.

MSM: (Methylsulfonylmethane) Assists body to produce its own internal antioxidants which helps support natural inflammatory response by providing protection against oxidative stress. It is a great source of sulfur, which plays an important role in maintaining the health of collagen, cartilage, hooves, hair and joint fluid.

N-Acetyl L-Cysteine:  NAC helps replenish glutathione levels, supporting a healthy inflammatory response in lung and bronchial tissue.

Thiamine (Vitamin B1) plays a role in supporting carbohydrate metabolism and normal muscle and nerve function. Thiamine supplementation has been shown to have a calming effect in horses displaying anxious/nervous behavior as a result thiamine deficiency and/or increased requirements.

When should you start feeding the Flies-A-Way supplement?

MVP:  Flies-A-Way works best if you can start feeding 4-6 weeks before the fly/Insect season starts.  Best results experienced when you can feed all horses on property.

How does the Flies-A-Way compare to other feed through fly control supplements?

Flies-a-way

I used this for a few years and it worked, but stopped one year to try fly predators with the surrounding neighbors. Went back to flies-a-way the following year and the horses have been on it since, that was 4 or 5 years ago. I live in VA, so i start in April and continue until end of September and have hardly any flies in my barn, when compared to surrounding neighborhood barns. Neighbors don't use fly predators anymore. It does have a strong garlic smell, but horses find it palatable and eat the pellets just fine. Highly recommend!

Works Well!

Started Flys-A-Way a month before peak fly season on our herd of ranch horses. (Start with just a pellet or two a day & gradually increase to get them used to the taste) While I do still need to spray the horses occasionally, there are definitely fewer flies pestering the horses! I do recommend!

Flies...

Just started using flies away. So far seems to be working fine. However, waiting to see how it works in the height of our fly season.

This stuff WORKS!

I start feeding flies-a-way in March before the bugs start hatching in the spring. My girls don't have any flies on them at all. Also very few mosquitoes. I don't have flies in my barn either. Compared to a farm 2 miles from me. They don't use this product and they have flies like crazy. Absolutely worth it!!

NO TICKS!!

I feed flies-a-way from early spring til a heavy frost. My horses love it, and they have no tick bites!

Flies A...

My picky mini donkey will not eat it. My other 4 horses will. The smell of garlic is overpowering. The ziplock closure on the bag is not good, so unless you want a garlic fragrance in your tack room, put it in another container.

I think it is working!

It is a little early to say but I do think the Flies-a-Way is work on our two MFT mares. We still have to spray them now and then but it seems less than other years.

This stuff really...

My mare has thread parasites and we give her Flies A Way morning and evening and within one week we saw 90% improvement. This has been a life saver

Great fly repellant

I have used this for several years now and can really tell the difference in a reduced fly population bothering our horses.

This works!

I have seen how this product works so well. I had my mare started on flies-away in April, to keep the bugs off. I got a new horse in June, when she showed up she would have flies on her and my first mare didn't. Started the second on it right away. I also see a difference when I go to other barns close by and see how bad the flies are there. Will definitely use this product every spring!

Works great

The flies have been horrible this year horse flies included. Fly spraying the horses everyday just is not something feasible it did not take long for this supplement to work and the flies have been so much better. I highly recommend this product.

Flies-A-Way Truly Works!

This product actually works and is amazing! I have recently started using it and have already noticed a difference. The horses used to be covered in flies and now I don’t even have to fly spray them. I would highly recommend this product!

Best feed thru fly supplement!

Safe to use with fly predators and works better than anything else I’ve tried for my horses and cow; barely use fly spray now!

Cannot say enough about the quality

I have my horse on exceed 6 way and also Levelor, last year I started him on Flies Away and my roommates horse was started on garlic and ACV she had purchased separately and gave to her horses as a dressing, not only did my horse have less flies than anyone else, he did not get itchy in the spring which is usual for my sensitive thoroughbred. I just cannot say enough about the quality of MVP products, and as a licensed Vet Tech employed at Cornell, it takes a lot to impress me. It did take my horse a few feedings to get past the smell, as it has a strong odor and his feed is wet from the beet pulp, but I have him outside so it was either he ate it or he went without...he had a change of heart witin 3 feedings, and never turned up his nose again.

Product works well

This product works well and is palatable to the horses. I did not have any trouble getting them to eat the supplement, even though it does have a strong garlicky scent. I saw a reduction in flies around the premises and I am not having to to fly spray the horses as much. It also was effective for my donkeys. They no longer have flies bothering them and I do not have to fly spray them at all.

No more hives

My horse scratches himself raw from bug bites. I switched to this product when he started refusing the smelly garlic supplement I was using. No more itching and he happly eats it in his grain.

Absolutely made a difference

I have a very sensitive Thoroughbred who cannot stand flies. Flies-A-Way has absolutely made a difference in his comfort level during fly season. My area gets inundated with all sorts of pesky insects, and maintaining him on this product during the summer months has made him less attractive to anything buzzing around.

This product really works!

I have one horse on my property. I pick up her manure at least 3 times a day, have fly traps located in strategic locations, use fly predators, and still had to apply fly spray to my horse everyday with minimal results. The problem was my neighbor. She has 2 horses and does not pick up the manure on her property ever, or use any type of fly abatement products. Her flies became my flies. I decided to try Flies-A-Way out of desperation. This product really works! After feeding it to my horse for just a few weeks prior to the start of fly season (btw, my horse loves eating it), I no longer had to spray my horse with a toxic fly spray on a daily basis, just once in a while. In fact, since money became a little tight this year, I decided to not use fly predators as part of my fly abatement program, just the fly traps and Flies-A-Way and still had a huge reduction in the amount of flies around my horse and property. Without a doubt, Flies-A-Way has become my number one weapon in my fly abatement arsenal. I will use it every year.

Will keep buying this product!

We have two Arabians, one worse than the other, who we have to give supplements to help with the itching during summer bug season. This product has greatly reduced the itching. We will KEEP ON BUYING this product!

This stuff is unbelievable

This stuff is unbelievable. We were unable to control the bugs at our farm, even spending 100?s of dollars a month in fly sprays, and other bug control methods. I ordered Flies A Way, but was a bit skeptical, even with the great reviews. It works!! With in a week I could see a difference and now I am bothered more by bugs then my horses are, and I also no longer see flies around the manure, and less in general around the farm. Great product, I am very impressed and extremely happy with it.
