Magnesium 5,000™ pellets support proper muscle function and a healthy nervous system in horses. This essential mineral is required for bone growth, metabolic function and healthy hooves. Magnesium supplementation has been shown to have a calming effect in nervous horses.
Magnesium plays many roles in the horse’s body. It is involved in the formation of bone and protein synthesis, helps to maintain electrolyte balance, influences nervous system regulation and is a co-factor for a number of enzymes. Low magnesium levels or deficiency can contribute to nervousness, depression, abnormal behavior, muscle tremors, lack of coordination, respiratory problems, growth failure and more. Magnesium supplementation may lessen abnormal fat deposits such as cresty neck which could lead to improvements in metabolic health.

FABULOUS ALL AROUND !
I have found the Magnesium 5,000 to be VERY beneficial in addressing tension, muscle tremors, tightness and for supporting young, growing horses to heavily exercised horses. The change in movement has been a game changer - plus it seems to level out their brain. A win, win product for sure. OH, and the pellets are HIGHLY palatable!

This has helped so much overall with an anxious barrel horse from being more focused to work and a much more relaxed muscular system! I used to see sore back and a longer muscle recovery and the horse I am currently legging up have felt wonderful!

Works for my horses
I have a horse with metabolic issues, besides the 5mg (yes 5) of pergolide, I use this pellet and jiaogualn herb. Works wonders along with low starch/sugar hay and concentrates.

A Great Mag Product for Your Horses
I have been using this product for a number of years with good success. My Vet mentioned that horses do not get enough magnesium and they need to be supplemented. This is a great product because it provides a good dose for the amount you feed and the price. I will continue to use this product unless they change those things. 5 Stars!

Magnesium 5000 Pellets
My gelding was very on edge all the time. Super nervous it did not matter if we were at a barrel race or on a trail ride. My trainer told me this is a supplement that would really help and I should give it a try. At first I bought a small bag and tried it. Within 3 weeks and going to a rodeo he was a TOTALLY different horse in a GOOD way! He wasn’t so nervous he could actually focus on what I was asking of him. I’m extremely happy with this product and recommend it to many other people because I love it and my horse does to!

Magnesium 5k Pellets - Highly Recommend!
A couple years ago a young mare was placed in my hands - she was overreactive (shavings bags or really any bag, random object was a definite no-no), EXTREMELY edgy/anxious/nervous wherever she was and near blown up on the barrel pattern. I was experiencing ALL the things with this mare. After taking a lot of steps back with her riding I was still struggling with her mentality and since then Ivve been immensely selective trying to find the perfect fit of a supplement to help ease her while also being show safe. Genetically she’s double bred Dash for Cash so some of her ’’racehorse-ness’’ will never go away but between 2-3 weeks of starting her on magnesium I saw a substantial difference in her attitude and the way she works, hauls and stalls. Noticeably she doesn’t feel the need to pace at shows now and is so much more focused on me, her job and not the outside distractions whether we’re in or out of the arena. I am highly grateful and will recommend this product to anyone! Because of MVP this mare is getting her chance to prove herself and what’s she’s capable of. I’ll forever have this one on hand!
