How the Immune System Works
The immune system’s main job is to protect the body from foreign invaders and abnormal cells. It works through a network of white blood cells, antibodies, and organs that help recognize and respond to threats. The first line of defense includes physical barriers like the skin and the linings of the respiratory and digestive tracts, which keep germs out. Good bacteria and a healthy gut also plays a big role in immunity. There are two types of immunity: nonspecific (innate), which is present from birth and fights all invaders similarly, and specific (adaptive), which develops over time by remembering specific threats, allowing the body to respond more
quickly in the future.

Vitamin E 5,000™
Vitamin E 5000™ offers an easy and affordable way to meet your horse’s vitamin E needs. Provides a highly concentrated source of Vitamin E combined with alfalfa meal (highly palatable carrier) to be used as a daily support when higher levels of Vitamin E are indicated. Formulated as an easy to feed pellet, Vitamin E 5000™ does not contain other vitamins or minerals. Horse owners can safely adjust the amount fed to support horses with high vitamin E requirements without worrying about causing imbalances. Multiple research studies have shown that vitamin E is often deficient in the diets of horses that do not have access to continual grazing on fresh green grass, or those grazing on winter pasture. Vitamin E is powerful antioxidant and works closely with selenium to protect the body from the oxidative stress. Horses are not very efficient in storing vitamin E and deficiency may be accelerated if the diet is deficient in selenium.

Natural E 5,000 is a highly concentrated natural vitamin E pellet to be used as a daily support when higher levels of Vitamin E are indicated. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that supports a healthy immune system and helps neutralize free radicals, the damaging by-products of normal cellular activity. Natural E 5,000 provides 5,000 IU of natural vitamin E per scoop. Does not contain other vitamins or minerals so daily feeding levels can be easily adjusted to meet your horse’s individual needs without worrying about causing imbalances. It is an excellent way to help provide antioxidant protection for all ages and classes of horses. Horses without access to pasture, as well those in heavy work or under stress, should receive supplemental vitamin E.
